Theresa graduated from Amherst College with a degree in English. During her time at Amherst, she founded a community service club, led initiatives for Women in STEM, and played violin in the symphony. She also completed a short story cycle exploring the dislocation of lives on the margins of society, for which she was awarded the departmental prize for excellence in prose fiction. For three years, she mentored students with the literacy nonprofit Reader to Reader Inc., leading book discussions to develop writing skills while fostering a love of reading. At ESC, Theresa helps students engage with writing not as an end result but rather a process that bridges reflection, discovery, and action in the ongoing narrative of their lives. Theresa’s interests include going for scenic runs, trying new recipes, and reading endlessly.
