Maya graduated from Haverford College with a degree in Economics and a minor in Environmental Studies. Her senior thesis research investigated the effects of retail choice policy on renewable electricity prices. At Haverford, she co-founded the club Womxn in Econ for underrepresented identities in Economics, worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Economics department, and served as a Peer Awareness Facilitator in the College’s year-long orientation program. Maya began studying Mandarin in college and studied abroad in Shanghai during her junior year. As a mentor, Maya loves helping students view academic subjects in a new light and develop confidence with large-scale projects. Maya will show off her five pet guinea pigs to anyone who asks. In her free time, Maya enjoys hiking, reading history and science fiction, and collecting retro iconography.
