Daniel graduated from Vanderbilt University with majors in Anthropology and Asian Studies. As an undergraduate, he was the co-president of Global China Connection Vanderbilt chapter, one of the largest nonprofits connecting young professionals with China’s emergence in the world, and he also served as a mentor for incoming international students. While at Vanderbilt, Daniel conducted research on China’s political discourse in the context of globalization and neoliberalism. Daniel enjoys working with the Junior Scholars team to help younger students develop their intellectual interests and find areas in which they excel. Outside of ESC, Daniel enjoys playing table tennis regularly and reading poetry.
